Responsible for Girlfriends, Clueless, and Malcolm in the Middle, Living Single and The Wild Thornberrys, Kelly Edwards spent years as an exec developing quality content for network TV. In addition, she produced the one hour drama series Sex, Love, and Secrets for UPN, A Christmas Detour for Hallmark, and 10 short films under the HBOAccess banner where she spent 7 years as the SVP of Talent Development.
But after filing for divorce in 2015, Edwards decided all bets were off and in 2016 she had a year of YES! where she visited 6 continents, got a tattoo, had lunch with the Dalai Lama in India, and finally started paying more attention to her own dreams than her ex-husband’s.
In 2018 Edwards went back to school for her Masters in Writing for TV and Film at Emerson College. She became a 2019 Sundance Episodic fellow and in 2021 staffed on Fox’s Our Kind of People and released her Amazon bestselling book, The Executive Chair: A Writer’s Guide To TV Series Development.
Edwards has since sold multiple projects and currently consults for Apple TV Studios, Sony, and PBS helping emerging artists hone their crafts so that they can pursue their own dreams.
