Responsible for Girlfriends, Clueless, and Malcolm in the Middle, Living Single and The Wild Thornberrys, Kelly Edwards spent years as an exec developing quality content for network TV. In addition, produced the one our drama series Sex, Love, and Secrets for UPN, A Christmas Detour for Hallmark, and 10 short films under the HBOAccess banner.
But after filing for divorce in 2015, Edwards decided all bets were off and in 2016 she had a year of YES! where she visited 6 continents, got a tattoo, had lunch with the Dalai Lama in India, and finally started paying more attention to her own dreams than her ex-husband’s.
Since then, Kelly’s received her Masters in Writing for TV and Film from Emerson, became a Sundance Episodic fellow and staffed on Fox’s Our Kind of People.
She sold a pilot and a feature and her book, The Executive Chair: A Writer’s Guide To TV Series Development, is an Amazon bestseller.
Edwards currently consults for Apple TV Studios, Sony, BET, and PBS which helps emerging artists hone their crafts so that they can pursue their own dreams.
