Kristy Pitts’ Letters

Before I was a TV exec, I was a story editor on the feature side of the business. These were the days where the creative exec uniform was a long skirt, boots and hair piled high on our heads with a few loose tendrils pulled down as though we were all the female leads in some rustic Victorian romance (yes, even for the guys).

I look back on those days as a baby exec with a healthy dose of embarrassment. I cringe when I think of the notes I probably delivered. The fact that they gave someone so young and inexperienced the ability to make decisions is absolutely laughable.

Thus, Kristy Pitts was born. The ultimate 80s D-girl with practically zero self-awareness. The girl who thinks it's perfectly okay to give notes to famous filmmakers even well after their films have been released. Enjoy.
